Arranging for a referral to Grow Well Psychological Services is easy - simply follow the steps below that are relevant for you:
Individuals
If you wish to access psychological counselling you can simply contact Grow Well Psychological Services directly to make an appointment - you don't need to have a referral from your doctor if you do not intend to access a rebate for the cost of the service provided.
If you do wish to claim a rebate, there are two ways to do this:
make an appointment with your treating General Practitioner or Psychiatrist and see if you are eligible to access services under a 'Mental Health Care Plan' via Medicare's 'Better Access' initiative. If you are eligible then your doctor can activate a referral to Grow Well Psychological Services by addressing the referral letter to John Alessandrini, with the issued Plan attached, or
if you are a member of a private health fund and have the appropriate level of cover for ancillary services then you can self-refer - a referral from your doctor is not necessarily required but check with your health fund directly.
